A Dock On The Bay! We are currently raising money to fund the building of a highly necessary dock at the Craighill Lower Range Front Beacon (if you've boated around there, you are well aware of the need for a dock at the light!). Major restoration work cannot begin until a dock is in place (believe me, we've tried without one).

What's in a Range? PDF Print E-mail
What are range lights? Range lights are pairs of beacons that work together to line up a channel. Ship captains line up the two beacons, the rear usually higher than the front, and then know they are in the proper channel. The Craighill Channel Lower Range lights mark the entrance to Craighill Channel, which cuts about 5 miles off the entrance to Baltimore Harbor.
