Old Man Winter
Sure surprised us with his swiftness and early arrival this year! Our last trip out was thwarted by a broken down Jeep, so the very next mild and windless day, we will head out to pull the ladder up out of the water in case of ice in the coming months. The boat is loaded up with cleaning supplies and ready to go at a moment’s notice.
The 2008 Craighill Cup was a success, and we’ll be writing more about that soon.
We visited the power boat show in Annapolis a couple months ago and Kim at AccuDock graciously donated an 4×8 foot work float, which will allow us to paint the base and maybe add another level of stability between the boat and the ladder. We’re very thankful and looking forward to putting it to a lot of use!
Yes, we made a lot of progress this season, and I am working on writing up a long-delayed newsletter to catch everyone up on the news. HPP members should watch for an invitation to come out and visit the lighthouse in the spring once the weather turns acceptable!
