You should be very proud of yourself. I think that is wonderful. I've always wanted to do a book and have one actually I've been doing for years. Don't know it will ever get finished. I really admire you. I'm so glad to have read your blog. Let us know for sure when it is out. Maybe I'll see you at Barnes and Noble in Chicago for a booksigning. :-). Good job. Take care,
Nancy

Hi Wayne! Patience is a virtue :-) I asked the publisher about when it would be published and she said probably not until April or so! I'll keep you posted.

P.S. I'm really proud of the book and can't wait to see the proof. I think I managed to dig up images that I haven't seen in other books on the subject before. I consistently stuck to the points made in the introduction, and the layout makes sense (I wrestled over the best way to lay it out for a while!). It's also the first book on the subject that covers efforts to preserve and save the lights that still exist.

Oh definitely! I have to learn how to sail it first!

Let's just say I got an offer I couldn't refuse! I found someone to split the cost/maintenance with me too, so it really worked out to be a fantastic deal.

Heh. No worries! You should see what my husband calls my "cool chick" closet. Filled with bicycling and swimming gear, plus camping gear for taking out to the lighthouse. Might make for an interesting post over the winter.
